<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the creeping discharge between belt-shaped electrodes and the insulation breakdown of a power supply connection by soldering power supply lines to a pair of belt-shaped electrodes provided at the outside of a glass bulb, and providing an insulating film on the bulb inclusive of the bonded parts. CONSTITUTION:Belt-shaped electrodes 6 and 7 opposed to each other are provided at the outside of the glass bulb of a rare discharge lamp 1 in which a fluorescent film is stuck to the inside and gas mainly composed of xenon gas is charged. These electrodes 6 and 7 are soldered with power supply lines 8 and 9 respectively, and those are coated with an insulating film 12, inclusive of the connection 10, whereby the creeping discharge between the belt-shaped electrodes and the insulation breakdown at the power supply connection are prevented, and safe and stable discharge is performed.</p> |
