PURPOSE:To suppress the fogging of a formed image and to improve the picture quality by decreasing the intensity of a magnetic field between a transparent electrode and a developing sleeve toward the downstream side in the rotating direction of the developing sleeve. CONSTITUTION:A magnet 43 which faces a transparent electrode drum 20 across the peripheral surface of the developing sleeve 42 is cut in a tapered shape so that the downstream side of the magnetic pole part on the side facing the drum 20 leaves the drum 20 toward the downstream side at the downstream side in the rotating direction of the developing sleeve 42. Therefore, the intensity of the magnetic field operating on the opposition area between the drum 20 and developing sleeve 42 by the magnet 43 decreases in order toward the downstream side. Consequently, the napping of a magnetic brush formed on the peripheral surface of the developing sleeve 42 is securely rubbed against the transparent electrode 20 in the opposition area and becomes conductive, so that photosensitive toner is securely scraped and separated from the drum 20. Therefore, the fogging of the formed image is suppressed and the picture quality is improved. |
