<p>The drift plotter consists of four transparent components, linked by screws, washers and a slider. The four components are a surface course indicator scaled in nautical miles, a current indicator, also scaled in nautical miles, a circular compass rose plate and a base plate which shows the movement over the ground and is also scaled in nautical miles. The current indicator is glued to a washer, which is screwed through the compass rose to the base. The current indicator has a longitudinal slot, through which a screw and slider are used to secure the surface course indicator.</p> |
