Said installation includes a central computer with a sufficiently sized database for processing the information generated by different means, a sensor capable of detecting critical defects in the security paper, devices for marking fold defect and control codes, together with code-reader optical pencils for relating manual quality control to the database of the system, all this being linked by a local communications network and the system having sufficient regulation elements to adapt the qualification threshold of each defect to the catalogue of defects which is current at any time as a model for acceptance and rejection. Said installation allows comprehensive control of the number of paper formats produced, individual identification of each one and quality control thereof in accordance with the required technical specifications and characteristics. <IMAGE>
