<p>PURPOSE: To automatically execute to a considerable degree by respectively inserting both barrel halves into auxiliary units, housing them by a centering ring, heating a welding collar to a welding collar temperature in a heating rim, and butting welding seams to a welding seam. CONSTITUTION: Both barrel halves 11, 13 and 12, 14 are respectively inserted into auxiliary units 1. The units 1 each has a housing unit 2 and a supporting unit 3 of the halves movable in an axial direction. Both the halves are housed by a centering ring 4 in a range of a coupling seam 16. The ring has a suction board dispersed over a circumference. In this case, welding collar of circumferential piece 13 or 14 is projected over the ring toward the seam 16. A heating rim 6 is disposed between both the units 1. The collar is inserted into the rim, and the collar is heated to a welding temperature in the rim. Thereafter, the halves 11, 13 and 12, 14 are urged to one another by the ring, and the seam is formed as a butt seam.</p> |
