A circuit is used for improving the coding effect of CPU by processing the black/white information of the binary image signal by means of using the software. The circuit varies the reading time of the data stored in RAM according to the quantity of the black/ white data in the image signal. The circuit includes a CCD sensor (A), a clock generator (B), the write/read counters (C,D), a circuit (H) for deciding the reading period, a video processing circuit (N).
