PURPOSE:To ensure that ink receptive properties are excellent, an image is recorded with clear profile, the shelf life of a recorded image is long and the performance of a device can be improved by processing porous pigment dry- granulated in a hydrophilic medium with a dispersing machine using a medium. CONSTITUTION:Dry-granulated porous basic pigment is dispersed and mixed with fine silica powder in water. Next, fluorescent dye and defoaming agent are added to the mixture, then it is allowed to run down through a vertical sand mill filled with cubic glass beads. After that, water-soluble resin containing nitrogen as a water-soluble protecting colloid agent is added to porous basic pigment at a rate of 0.1% or higher for the latter's total amount, and a surface activation treatment is completed. Following this process, a binder solution consisting of an aqueous silyl modified polyvinyl alcohol solution is added and this application liquid for an ink receptive layer is smeared on a base material containing a neutral paper and the coat is dried to obtain an ink jet recording sheet. |
