Method of preserving wine in bottle

The method comprises putting at least one bottle of wine in a container (1) with a cover (11) made of a heat insulating foam (2) together with a water absorbing material (8) in a wet condition, to give constant humidity. This constant humidity ranges from 65% to 85%. The water absorbing material is a polymer with a high water absorption, up to 1600g of water per 1g of the polymer. The container is made of heat insulating foam with a space for receiving a certain amount of water absorbing material.
