PURPOSE:To enable molding of a terminal which is free from a defect such as an inferior external appearance and looks well, by a method wherein at least a part of a bottom force is constituted of a movable auxiliary mold and an elastic body is interposed between the auxiliary mold and bottom force. CONSTITUTION:A mold is constituted of a top force 8 and bottom force 9, the whole of a mold surface forming part of the bottom force is constituted of a movable auxiliary mold 91 and an elastic body 1 is interposed between the auxiliary mold 91 and bottom force 9. A molding main body is prepared beforehand by extrusion molding and the tip part 71 of the molding main body is set up within a cavity 912. The cavity 912 forms a spatial part B having a form identical with that of a molded body of a terminal which is going to be injection-molded. Then resin in a softened state is injected into a spatial part B. When the top force 8 is crowned over the tip part 71 of the molding main body within the auxiliary mold 91, the top force 8 presses the auxiliary mold 91, through which the elastic body 1 is compressed in accordance with dispersion of thickness. Therefore, a gap is eliminated from a space between the auxiliary mold 91 and the top force 8. Therefore, the molded body of the terminal, which is free from a defect such as an inferior external appearance and looks well, can be injection-molded. |
