The present invention relates to a timber framework element (1) for a truss having a large span, made in the form of a closed box and comprising structural timbers (2, 3, 4, 5) which are connected by spacers (18) and are covered laterally by wooden panels. The structural timbers (2, 3, 4, 5) are formed by layers of joined and bonded boards.
