摘要 Method for measuring the distance to a ground target and the speed of an aircraft firing at this target in which: In a preliminary stage, the component of the wind speed along the firing line of the aircraft, the absolute air temperature and the atmospheric density are measured over the field of fire. In a first stage, the shock waves associated with each of the shells arriving on the ground and the detonation waves corresponding to the departure of these shells is picked up at the level of the target. In a second stage, measurements are made of the times which elapsed between the arrival of the last shock wave and the arrival of the first detonation wave (T1), between the arrival of the last shock wave and the arrival of the first detonation wave (T2), and between the arrival of the first shock wave and that of the last shock wave (T3). In a third stage, the times T1, T2, T3, the quantities measured in the preliminary stage and known physical constants are used to calculate the speed and the firing distance of the aircraft with respect to the target.
