PURPOSE:To observe a minute picture part accurately from a display pattern of a synthesized picture and to grasp the entire picture by applying compression processing to an entire object picture so as to generate a compressed picture and segmenting and overlapping the object picture in a designated area onto the picture. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 28 reads an object picture data from a picture memory 23 and applies compression processing thereto and stores the compressed picture data into a picture memory 29 for liquid crystal display. Succeedingly, the CPU 28 accesses a window memory 26 and overwrites a framework data of a designated area to a central position on a compressed picture 54 in the memory 29. Then the CPU 28 reads a contrast picture data in a designated area 52 in the contrast picture of a picture memory 23 and overwrites the data onto the inside of an area picture 56 of the compressed picture 54 in the picture memory 29 to generate a synthesized picture 53. The memory 29 is accessed by a liquid crystal controller 30 and a synthesized picture 54 is displayed on a liquid crystal display device 3. |
