PURPOSE:To improve light fastness, storage stability and a recording regenerating feature by adding a novel azo complex to recording layer as a light absorbing substance. CONSTITUTION:A compound represented by formula (wherein A and B are an element group necessary for constituting a ring and X1 is a benzene ring, a naphthalene ring or an alkyl group which may have a substituent) is dissolved in tetrahydrofuran and the resulting solution is filtered and an aqueous nickel borofluoride solution is dripped in the obtained filtrate. The obtained blue reaction solution is dripped in an aqueous sodium borofluoride solution and water is added to thereto to form a crystal which is, in turn, filtered and dried to obtain a blue azo Ni-complex. An octafluoropentanol solution of this compound is prepared and applied to a polycarbonate substrate to obtain a thin recording layer. |
