PURPOSE:To improve response speed performance and speed control range for a motor by connecting a thyristor-bridged converter to the secondary winding of a motor and controlling ratio between its output current and frequency at a constant value. CONSTITUTION:A thyristor-bridged converter 6 is connected to a secondary winding of a motor 1. Upon reception of its output, a thyristor-bridged converter 8 is connected to power supply via a transformer 4. A secondary current control signal and a slipping frequency control signal of a current source 11 including the converter 6 are obtained by comparing a speed setting value with a speed detecting signal omegar, applying to a controller 9, and outputting secondary current Ir* and slipping frequency omegas*. Therefore, control performance can be improved by making the ratio of control signals of the secondary current and slipping frequency take a constant value. Speed control range can be widened by permitting the power exchange with the motor in both polarities. |
