PURPOSE:To easily obtain a uniform nonwoven fabric useful for filter base material, etc., in high efficiency by placing a specific spinneret for melt-blow above a collection drum repeating a specific motion and continuously collecting and laminating fiber streams on the drum. CONSTITUTION:A molten thermoplastic resin is continuously spun from a melt- blow spinneret 1 having a row of a number of spinning orifices 2 and gas- blasting slits opened adjacent to the orifices. The fiber is drawn and divided by high-speed gas flow blasted from the gas-blasting slit. The obtained fiber streams 4 are continuously collected and laminated on a collection drum 5 placed under the spinneret and repeating the reciprocating rotary motion at an arbitrary angle once or integral times (preferably once or twice) and the collected fiber is drawn by the distance equal to the width of the spinneret 1 to obtain the objective nonwoven fabric.
