PURPOSE:To eliminate input work and improve the operation rate of a mounting machine by reading information for the type of trays and the part containing mode, thereby selecting a part corresponding to a part packaging data from a required tray and mounting the selected part to a specified position for an object to be mounted. CONSTITUTION:As part supply side data is written in a memory 12 provided in a tray 5, a part mounting machine A is capable of reading out it as part supply side data for its application, selectively taking out a part in conformity with the part mounting data from the tray 5 and mounting the selected part to a specified position of an object to be mounted. Therefore, it is acceptable to write variable data, such as the types or the quantities of parts at each tray 5 whenever it is required but such inherent and invariable data is excluded. More specifically, required part supply side data can be supplied to the part mounting machine by setting the data to the part mounting machine whenever those trays are used. This construction makes it possible to facilitate input work and thereby improve the operation rate of the part mounting machine. |
