<p>A surgical instrument is provided with an ultrasonic vibration source (7) and an ultrasonic vibration transmitter (8) connected to the vibration source and generating mechanical vibration corresponding to ultrasonic frequency. The ultrasonic vibration transmitter is provided with a plurality of annular blade-like parts (14) outside the outer periphery of an operational part (9) to be in contact with organic tissues as well as provided with a fluid passage (11) passing through the inside of the instrument. The fluid passage opens at the tip (12) of the operational part and at the bottom (13) of the blade-like part. The surgical instrument cuts and separates organic tissues with ultrasonic vibration applied thereto.</p> |
