PROCESS AND DEVICE FOR AUTOMATICALLY LAYING A FIBER BAND ON A TEXTILE MACHINE

The end of the fiber band (4) is taken to a defined take-up position in order automatically to lay it on a textile machine with a feed device (2). In this take-up position, the end of the web is taken up as the start of the web and transferred to the feed device (2). To execute this process, there is a band presenter (3) in which the band (4) can be held in this defined take-up position. In addition, there is a band feeder (5) to take up the band (4) presented in the take-up position and to introduce it into the feed device (2). The textile machine can take the form of any type working on or processing a fiber band (4), e.g. that of a stretcher, spinning machine, knitting machine or the like.
