PURPOSE: To continuously monitor the concentration of ionic substance in fluid by ionizing the substance at a catalytic anode electrode, passing generated free electrons via a power source, and measuring the quantity of the current generated by the electrons. CONSTITUTION: In the case of ionic substance for generating cationic ion, fluid 1 supplied to a supply chamber 3 is ionized by the catalytic action of an anode electrode 13 to induce the flow of cationic ion arriving at a cathode electrode 15 via a cation exchange membrane 5 by the DC potential of a power source 7. The free electrons pass a current measuring instrument 17, the cation and electron are recombined at the cathode 15, reformed in the state that the molecule or electron is lost, and the substance is returned to the object 1 conveyed to a circulating chamber 9. In the case of ionic substance for generating anionic ion, fluid 1 supplied to a supply chamber 9 is ionized at the cathode 15, arrived at the anode 13 via an anion exchange membrane 5, the anionic ion is emitted from the free electron reformed in the ionic substance of molecule state, separated and conveyed to the chamber 3, and the free electron is measured by a unit 17. |
