PURPOSE:To simultaneously ensure satisfactory blocking resistance, anti- offsetting property and fixability at low temp. for a toner by using a specified nonlinear polyester resin. CONSTITUTION:Nonlinear polyester resin having 100-180 deg.C softening point and 50-70 deg.C glass transition point is used as a resin binder for a toner. The polyester resin is obtd. by allowing 100mol%, in total, of 3-25% etherified diphenol, 20-70% ethylene glycol and 5-77% other diol as alcohol components to react with 100mol%, in total, of 2-30% rosins, 40-96% dicarboxylic acid and 2-30% polycarboxylic acid other than dicarboxylic acid as acid components and a multifunctional epoxy compd. having 2-4 glycidyl groups in the molecule. The epoxy compd. is used by 0.01-5pts.wt. per 100pts.wt., in total, of the alcohol land acid components. Satisfactory blocking resistance, anti-offsetting property, vinyl chloride resistance and fixability at low temp. can be simultaneously ensured for the toner in a well-balanced state. |
