PURPOSE:To perform optimum power factor control with good accuracy in power receiving facilities which have large load variation by selecting a previously set low-load setting reference automatically by the automatic power factor regulator and performing arithmetic control. CONSTITUTION:Input signals to the automatic power factor regulator 3 are obtained normally from PT1 and CT2. The device 3 has the setting reference 8 for a low load. If a current signal value obtained from the CT2 decreases below a predetermined current value, the device 3 performs judgement control and performs automatic selecting operation so as to the signal of the low-load setting reference 8 is used instead of the current signal detected by the CT2. The arithmetic control is performed according to the value of the low load setting reference 8 and a feed/extraction command 4 is sent to a capacitor bank 6 to perform the optimum force power control. |
