<p>PURPOSE:To sufficiently progress denitrification reaction even if the content of carbon in molten steel is in a low range by mixing flux containing Ba oxide, CaO, Al2O3, etc., into the molten metal during executing vacuum degassing treatment. CONSTITUTION:The flux for metal refining containing Ba oxide or Ba oxide and Ba carbonate, and CaO, Al2O3 and CaF2, is prepared. This flux or a part thereof is blown into the molten metal and/or added on the molten metal surface during executing the vacuum degassing treatment or refining treatment to refine the molten metal.</p> |
