The invention relates to a process and an apparatus for the production of steel-wire strands, especially of steel cord, on the double-twist principle, in which the individual run-off reels are mounted within the stranding system in the axis of rotation of the stranding rotor on a non-corrotating reel carrier and the strand is relieved, that is to say overwound outside the stranding system and is guided to the winder via a draw-off. The object to develop the abovementioned process and apparatus was achieved in that the tensioned strand, coming from the draw-off, is guided in the opposite direction to the linear movement of the stranding material in the stranding process to an overwinding device arranged in the rotor region and the relieved strand is thereafter guided back to the draw-off and finally to the winder. <IMAGE> |
