PURPOSE:To enhance the generation efficiency of ozone by impressing pulsating DC voltage between an anodic electrode and a cathodic electrode in a water electrolytic type ozonizer. CONSTITUTION:An anodic electrode 2 utilized as a catalyst for generating ozone is constituted of noble metal such as Au and Pt or of PbO2 and stainless steel plated with Au or Ni is utilized as a cathodic electrode 3 in both sides of a solid polymer electrolytic membrane 1 in an electrolytic ozonizer. Water is supplied to the anodic electrode side of the solid polymer electrolytic membrane 1. The generation efficiency of ozone due to electrolysis of water is enhanced by allowing pulsating DC which is changed in current strength at every specified time to flow between both electrodes 2, 3 from a power source 4. |
