PURPOSE:To obtain a light-weight optical disk by using glass substrates of <=0.5mm thickness and sticking two glass substrates having recording layers with spacers interposed. CONSTITUTION:On the one side of each glass substrates 1, 6, <=0.5mm in thickness, there are provided tracking guide grooves 2, 7 and recording layer 3, 8 each comprising a reflecting film, magnetic film, and protective film. Spacers 5a, 5b, are provided between the two substrates 1, 6 on the inner and outer circumferences and adhered with adhesive 4a, 4b to recording layers 3, 8. In this constitution, total thickness of the obtd. disk is almost same as that of a conventional optical disk, while weight is 1/2 or less of the conventional one. |
