In CD players, both the focus error signal and the track error signal are superposed by high-frequency oscillations which hinder control and are caused by data recorded on the disc. The track error signal and the focus error signal are generated by forming the difference between the output signals of a plurality of photodiodes. �Because the high-frequency components are shorted by means of a capacitance (K) before forming the difference between the output signals of the photodiodes (A, B, C, D), high-frequency components hindering control are no longer contained either in the focus error signal or in the track error signal. ��
