The counter rotating developer rollers (16-19) are arranged with dosing units for colouring the charged images on the carrier drum (10) with the developer mixture. The developer mixture (11) is then transported to at least one development roller (16) running synchronously with the carrier drum (10) in the development gap (22) further moving in the direction of the drum, to a counter running roller (19), running in the development gap (22) counter to the carrier drum (10), and from there is led back in to the reservoir (12). Rollers (17,18) are arranged between the synchronised and counter running rollers (16,19) running in the same direction as the charged image carrier drum (10).
