<p>PURPOSE:To secure the arrangement space for on-vehicle parts while sufficiently securing the length of an intake pipe by forming the intake pipe of an engine into U-shape and deflecting the intake pipe to one side in a crankshaft direction. CONSTITUTION:Each branched pipe 22 of a lower manifold 19 consists of a lower extension part 22a which is continuous to the upper branched pipes 18a-18d and an upper extension part 22b between the wall surface 2a on an intake manifold 17 connection side, and is formed into U-figure form. On the wall surface 2a side on the connection side of a cylinder body 2 and further at the A side part on a crankshaft direction side, an arrangement space S is formed by the deflection to one side b side of the branched pipes 18a and 18b of the manifold 17. In the space S, the relatively large sized auxiliaries and an alternator 23 are arranged, and in the lower part, an air compressor 24 for air conditioner is arranged, and further in the upper part, a hydraulic unit 25 for power steering is arranged.</p> |
