Heat-shrinkable composite films comprise a layer of polyester, polyamide, polyethylene or polypropylene and a layer of an ethylene ionomer or polymer contg. vinyl acetate. One of the layers is biaxially stretched without thermofixing and bonded to the other layer. The outer layer (1) is pref. of polyamide or polyester. The inner layer (5) is pref. of ethylene ionomer or polymer. An interposed gas-barrier layer of polyvinylidene chloride is pref. bonded to the outer layer by a primer comprising a soln. of a high-mol.wt. polyester in an organic solvent, and to the inner layer by a polyurethane adhesive.
