The bars (16,18,19), operated by a manually activated locking button (14), connect inside and outside door operating grips to one another and to the door lock, and in the event of an accident causing mass inertia forces to arise as the result of the vehicle retardation, they operate a radially movable stop unit (22) to prevent door locking.
