The axial piston machine has a rotary cylinder drum, contg. pistons working in its bores, and passages leading to the drum end face. A polished plate (9) with control passages is mounted between the drum and a support portion in the housing. The plate consists of a flat disc (16) fitting loosely in position and prevented from rotating. It is pref. made of strip material, shaped by stamping, or a laser beam.
