ALPHA-SARCINE GENE

摘要

PURPOSE:To produce a large amount of alpha-Sarcine by transforming host cells with an expression vector obtained by connecting a regulator factors such as promoter to an alpha-sarcine gene containing a specific base sequence and culturing the host cells. CONSTITUTION:An alpha-Sarcine expression vector is obtained by connecting various kinds of regulator factors such as promoter required for manifestation of an alpha-Sarcine gene containing a base sequence shown by formula I to the gene. Host cells such as Gramnegative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Gram-positive bacteria such as Bacillus subtilis or yeast are transformed by using the alpha-Sarcine gene expression vector and the transformant is cultured in a medium. Then alpha-Sarcine is separated from the medium and recovered. Prepared alpha-Sarcine gene is usable as a drug such as anti-cancer drug or antiviral drug in the same manner as natural type alpha-Sarcine gene.
