A fork lift truck has a lifting frame 1, which can be inclined about an axis arranged on the front area of the fork lift truck parallel to the roadway and transversely to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The fork lift truck is also provided with a driver's protective roof, which in order to give the vehicle a low overall height is formed from two support elements and one transverse connection. The support elements are operatively connected to the lifting frame 1 and are preferably designed as tilting cylinders, the cylinder tubes 9 of which are rigidly connected together.
