PURPOSE:To prevent power consumption by a required ringer signal or over by adding a timer section stopping the transmission of the ringer signal when the transmission time of the ringer signal to a terminal equipment is a preset time or over. CONSTITUTION:An off-hook signal from a caller side received by a transmission reception section 1 is converted by a control section 3 to control a ringer signal generating section 4. Moreover, a timer section 7 monitors a control signal controlling a ringer signal, counts the time when the ringer signal is sent and when no reply comes from a subscriber terminal equipment 6 even after lapse of a preset time, the transmission of the ringer signal is terminated. Moreover, as soon as the transmission of the ringer signal is finished, the timer section 7 sends a tone generating instruction to a busy tone generating section 5. Thus, the power consumption by the ringer signal as required or over is prevented. |
