<p>Process for the production of an entry cone (22) at one (11) of the ends of a connecting terminal (10) for optical fibres, the said terminal (10) having the shape of a cylindrical ring of external diameter D and comprising an internal capillary (12) of diameter dI. According to the invention the said process consists in providing the said (11) end of the connecting terminal (10) with a guiding part (20) consisting of a cylindrical body inside which are provided, on the one hand, a cylindrical bore (21) with a diameter substantially equal to the diameter D of the terminal (10), limited, inside the said cylindrical body (20), by a wall (23) forming an end stop for the end (11) of the said terminal (10) when the latter is introduced by being slid inside the said bore (21) and, on the other hand, a guide hold (24) which has at least one frustoconical part (22) opening towards the exterior of the cylindrical body (20) with a diameter greater than the diameter dI and opening into the cylindrical bore (21) in the region of the said capillary (12), with a diameter which is substantially equal to the diameter dI of the capillary.
