An enclosed boiler 1 comprises a base 2, top 3, main rear tank 4, main front tank 5 and a pair of main side tanks (6, 7) which define an enclosure through which flame and hot gases are led from a burner 12 to an outlet 15 for discharge to an exhaust flue 16. A top cover 26 is removed for cleaning and maintenance access. An additional tank 40, a removable longitudinally extending baffle plate 45 and removable transverse bridging plates 41, 42 define a successively rising and falling passageway 30, 31. 32 for the gases. In a final rising leg 32 longitudinally spaced-apart secondary baffle plates (56, 57, 58) direct the gases successively forwardly and rearwardly. The baffle plates (56, 57, 58) are attached to and removable with the longitudinal baffle plate 45. The boiler is thermally efficient yet easy to clean. <IMAGE> |
