PURPOSE:To obtain wind directions with simple construction by disposing >=4 pieces of electrodes at equal intervals in the inside part of a pressure receiving column disposed with a common electrode by leaving a gap and detecting the electrostatic capacities formed between the respective electrodes and the common electrode. CONSTITUTION:A common electrode 20 is disposed on the inner surface of a pressure receiving column 2 constituted of a thin-walled cylinder. A cylindrical column 4 constituted of an insulating material is disposed concentrically by leaving a gap 21 in the inside part of said column 2. At least 4 pieces of electrodes 41-44 of mutually equal areas are disposed on the surface of said column 4 at equal intervals in a circumferential direction. These electrodes 41-44 are installed so as to be located respectively in east, west, south and north directions. The electrostatic capacities between the common electrodes 20 and the electrodes 41-44 are detected and the signals asociating to the respective electrostatic capacities thereof are operated, whereby wind directions are obtained. |
