PURPOSE:To reduce splashing of a lubricant by applying such a lubricant comprising polar perfluoropolyether and cyclic or ring-opening-polymerized phosphonitrile ester on the surface of a magnetic layer. CONSTITUTION:Perfluoropolyether having a polar group and cyclic or ring- opening-polymerized phosphonitrile ester expressed by formula I are incorporated into the surface of a magnetic layer. In the formula I, (m) is a number from 2 to 4 and Rf' represents a substd. group F-(ClF2lO)iC3F4O-, wherein(l) is an integer from 1 to 3 and (i) is a number from 15 to 50. The perfluoropolyether having a polar group shows high chemical adsorption to the magnetic layer, while phosphonitrile ester has high viscosity and high physical adsorption. There by, splashing of the lubricant from the magnetic layer surface can be suppressed. |
