The security device has a shaft 20 hooked at its lower end which is placed around the clutch-pedal arm 22 (behind the pedal 23) of the vehicle to be secured. A length of chain 21 which is fixed to the upper end of the shaft 20 is looped around the rim of the vehicle's steering-wheel 24. The staple of a padlock (not shown) is passed through a link on both 'legs' of the looped chain 21 so that, when the padlock is closed, the clutch-pedal 23 is effectively tied to the steering-wheel and cannot be depressed. This prevents release of the clutch, by a potential thief, so that no gear may be engaged thus rendering the vehicle immobile. <IMAGE> |
