PURPOSE:To eliminate an effect of noise on a flaw detector and to dispense with a speed change mechanism by making a holding member move in two directions for a test piece having a standard defect part by the movement of ring-shaped members. CONSTITUTION:When a reciprocating mechanism 6 strikes on a reversing stopper 13a (13b) located in front in the direction of movement of the reciprocating mechanism 6, the directions of ring-shaped members 10a, 10b and 10c are reversed and the mecha nism starts to move in the direction reverse to that of the movement thereof till that time. It continues to move, and when it strikes on the other reversing stopper 13b (13a) located in front in the direction of the movement thereof, the directions of the ring-shaped members 10a, 10b and 10c are reversed once again and the reciprocat ing mechanism 6 starts to move in the opposite direction. The speed of the movement is varied by adjusting the degree of contact of the ring-shaped members 10a, 10b and 10c with a shaft. Since the directions of the ring-shaped members 10a, 10b and 10c are changed to be reverse and the direction of the movement is also changed by the striking on the reversing stoppers 13a and 13b in this way, a relay, a limit switch, etc. for changing the direction are dispensed with. |
