PURPOSE:To prevent the display of erroneous water-depth data caused by improper reference pressure by providing a constitution wherein inaccuracy of data is displayed and the reference pressure is reset when the abnormality of the water depth data in diving data is detected. CONSTITUTION:At the time of a bathometer mode, the fact that the atmospheric pressure measured with a pressure sensor 14 is less than 1.24 kg/cm<2> (pressure at about the depth of about 2 m beneath the surface of sea water)is confirmed, and the pressure is set at a reference pressure. After the diving, the measured 14 pressure is compared with the reference pressure, and the water depth is obtained. The depth is displayed on a display part C of a liquid-crystal display panel. When the trouble of a pressure sensor 14 or the decrease in battery voltage occurs in diving, the following measurement is stopped, and a warning mark '!' is displayed on the display part C. The kind of the trouble is displayed on a display part A. When the reference pressure is not adequate and the measured water depth becomes less than -1m, i.e. the value is higher than the water surface, an error display ! indicating the inaccurate diving data is displayed for three seconds. When the measured value at this point is height than the atmospheric pressure of 2m or less from the sea surface, a standard atmospheric pressure (1.033 kg/cm<2>) is set. When the measured pressure is lower than the atmospheric pressure, the measured atmospheric pressure (1.24 kg/cm<2>) is set as the reference pressure. |
