A new delivery system for cyclic amino acid compounds and the process for its preparation is disclosed, which has use in a variety of products including comestibles such as chewing gum compositions, confections, and pharmaceuticals such as chewable tablets. More particularly, this invention relates to a process for preparing a delivery system that provides enhanced masking of the bitter flavor characteristic of the active, reduced grittiness, retained stability at the elevated temperatures of product formulation, and improved compressibility for formation into tablets. |
