PURPOSE:To effectively perform optical correction of the unnecessary absorption of the dyestuff of an image with a fluorescent dyestuff, to ensure superior aging stability and to prevent stain by incorporating a specified compd. into one of silver halide emulsion layers. CONSTITUTION:A compd. represented by formula I is incorporated into one of silver halide emulsion layer. In the formula I, n is 0 or 1, A is a residue of a compd. cleaving bond to Time in the case of n=1 or bond to FL in the case of n=0 by a reaction with the oxidized body of a developing agent, Time is a timing group cleaving bond to FL after release from A and FL is a residue of a compd. emitting fluorescence when bond to Time in the case of n=1 or bond to A in the case of n=0 is cleaved. The unnecessary absorption of the dyestuff of an image is effectively corrected, superior aging stability of the correcting effect is ensured and a fine white ground can be obtd.
