PURPOSE:To ensure moisture resistance and storage stability without degrading superior fluidity by surface treating a fine metal oxide powder with a hydrophobicness donor of an organosilicon compound having a specified lower organic group and that of an organosilicon compound having a specified higher organic group, and adding this power to a fine toner powder and mixing them. CONSTITUTION:The fine metal oxide powder to be used is treated on the surface with the hydrophobicness donor of the organosilicon compound having a <=4C saturated or unsaturated aliphatic group and/or having a hydrocarbon ring with a <=7 C group, and that of the organosilicon compound having at least one >=5 C saturated or unsaturated aliphatic group and/or a hydrocarbon ring with a >=8 C group, thus permitting good fluidity, superior image quality, small environment dependency, and superior electric chargeability to be obtained. |
