PURPOSE:To adjust the lighting level of a fluorescent lamp, etc., without varying input lighting level data by providing an adjusting means which adjusts the converting operation state of a converting means according to set adjustment data and regards lighting characteristics of a corresponding lighting load as reference lighting characteristics. CONSTITUTION:A display device 11 makes a display on a display part 17 according to a data signal DA supplied from a control part 12. Signal reception parts A1 - An convert data signals, inputted with a count clock CCK, into duty signals. For the purpose, the frequency of the count clock CCK is varied to change the conversion states. For the purpose, adjusting circuits D1 - Dn vary the frequency, but adjustment data corresponding to the deviation between the lighting characteristics of the lighting load and predetermined reference lighting characteristics are set and the converting operation states are adjusted according to the adjustment data to obtain the reference lighting characteristics. Consequently, the lighting level of the lighting load can be adjusted without varying the input lighting level data. |
