PREPARATION OF AROMATIC HYDROCARBONS FROM ALKANES USING MODIFIED ACID CRYSTALLINE METAL ALUMINOSILICATE ZEOLITE

A process wherein the said alkanes are dehydrogenated, the alkenes obtained are oligomerised and these oligomers are dehydrocyclised and comprising placing the said alkanes in contact with a catalyst consisting of a modified acidic crystalline zeolite, characterised in that the said zeolite is a metalloaluminosilicate of formula: Hx(AlxMySi(96-x-y)O192> in which x is less than 7, y is between 0.01 and 0.5 and M is a metal chosen from the group comprising tin, molybdenum and vanadium. Intended application : synthesis of aromatic hydrocarbons.
