PURPOSE:To improve accuracy for timing to detect water boiling by detecting the absolute value of the temperature of a heated object, and the variation of the aforesaid temperature, and controlling the output of induction heating, depending upon respective detected output values. CONSTITUTION:A heating coil 2 connected to a power supply 1 heats an object or pan 3 so placed as to oppose thereto, via induction heating. In this case, the power supply 1 may be a commercial power supply, but a high-frequency power supply using an inverter or the like may provide higher induction heating efficiency. The output terminal of a temperature sensor 4 is connected to the first and second temperature detection means 6 and 7, and output from the aforesaid means 6 and 7 is applied to an output control means 8. Thus, this output control means 8 regulates output from the power supply 1. Also, heating is performed with strong thermal power until water temperature reaches a certain level. When the prescribed water temperature is attained, the output is reduced to restrain a water temperature rise, and water boiling is detected after the follow-up of a temperature sensor 4, thereby embodying high accuracy for water boiling detection. |
