PURPOSE:To obtain a drug preparation useful as a preventive and remedy for hypertension and an agent for ameliorating the condition of stenocardia, myocardiac infarction, congestive heart failure, etc., by using a specific peptide separated from a hot-water extract of dried bonito or produced by synthesis as an active component. CONSTITUTION:The objective agent contains 0.5-70% of the peptide of formula as an active component. The peptide can be produced by mixing dried bonito with water, boiling under vigorous agitation, cooling the obtained soup, filtering by centrifugal separation, etc., and separating by taking advantage of adsorption affinity difference, solubility difference, etc. The peptide is mixed with a carrier for preparation (e.g. lactose, glucose, methylcellulose, glycerol or water) and formed in the form of tablet, capsule, granule, powder, syrup, suppository, ointment, plaster, inhalant, injection, etc. The peptide is administered at a dose of 0.01-10mg and once to thrice a day. |
