The invention concerns a peat-cutting machine or equivalent, which comprises a disc cutter 1 for taking up peat from the ground and flinging it into a screw press 3 belonging to the machine, and outlets 13 for forming briquettes. The object of the invention is to make available a peat-cutting machine which is considerably better than the known peat-cutting machines in terms of its production output versus utilized mechanical effect. According to the invention, the machine comprises control members 10, 11, 12 which are able to deflect the flow of peat, flung by the disc, a certain distance sidewards from the periphery of the disc into the basin 6 of the screw press 3, and the screw press 3 has essentially been mounted on the side of the disc. <IMAGE> |
