PURPOSE:To designate a chessman and to suitably shift a designated chessman by using a display element composed of a plurality of display electrodes which can be selectively applied with a voltage so as to indicate every chessman, so as to form each of the crosses of a display panel, and by connecting a battery source to these crosses so as to selectively turn on and off the crosses so that a chessman displayed on the display panel can be designated through an input means, a display element and display electrodes in the display element. CONSTITUTION:When a power source 8 is turned on, predetermined chessmen on both sides are displayed on predetermined crosses 3 on a display panel, and a microcomputer 9 and a display drive circuit 7 are energized through manipulation of buttons so as to diaplay, on a the screen of the display panel, selection and shift of one of the chessmen on the own side which is to be shifted and shift of one of the chessmen on the opponent side which corresponds to the shift of the afore-mentioned chessman. Then, with the repetitions of the manipulation of the buttons, the chessmen on both sides are shifted similarly on the screen of the display panel 4 until the game is over. |
